Personal data is processed in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia („Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia“, No. 87/2018 – hereinafter: ZZPL).

The Law Office collects the following personal data:

Data from contact form / e-mail: Name, surname, e-mail address, phone number, and inquiry content.

Purpose: responding to your inquiry and taking steps prior to entering into a contract for legal services.

Legal basis: taking steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract (Art. 12(1)(2) ZZPL).

Providing the data is necessary for processing your request and related communication.

Transfer to third countries: he Law Office uses analytics tools and external fonts provided by providers based in the USA (Google LLC), which may involve the transfer of data outside the Republic of Serbia. In such cases, the Law Office ensures appropriate safeguards through standard contractual clauses or other measures provided for under Art. 69 ZZPL.

3. Data Retention and Confidentiality

Data from contact inquiries is retained for a maximum of 6 (six) months from the last correspondence, for the purpose of communication records and protection against potential legal claims, in accordance with the principle of storage limitation. If communication leads to the establishment of an attorney-client relationship, data is further retained in accordance with statutory retention obligations for legal documentation and the Law Office’s internal policies.

Data received in the context of establishing an attorney-client relationship or providing legal services is subject to professional secrecy of attorneys in accordance with Article 20 of the Law on the Legal Profession. The Law Office does not share such data with third parties except as required by law.

4. Your Rights and Contact Information

Under the ZZPL, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Requests may be submitted to office@jmslaw.rs or by registered mail to the Law Office address. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection of the RS.
